Welcome to our latest blog post! Today, I’m excited to share with you a comprehensive guide on how to perform a Reflexology Foot Wrap. This technique is not only effective for removing excess oil or cream after a reflexology session, but it also allows clients to walk around without leaving oily footprints or risking slips.
In this post, I’ll walk you through my process, show you different towel sizes, and reveal my preferred size and why.
Step-by-Step Guide to Reflexology Foot Wraps
To give you the best possible view, I strapped a camera to my chest while performing the foot wrap. (see video below) Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process:
Wrapping Techniques:
- Place the towel on a 45-degree angle starting on the pinky side of the foot, towards the inside of the leg and across to the other leg.
- Pull the corner of the towel so that it creates a perfect triangle, with the toes being the base of the triangle.
- Fold the triangle over the toes.
- Grab the pinky side of the towel and fold it towards the center of the foot.
- Pull the towel and fold it across the foot in the opposite 45-degree angle as before (from the inside of the leg to the outside of the leg).
- With the excess towel, wrap it around under the leg and fold it around to the front of the leg.
- Fold the top of the towel down as if you were folding up your jeans, finishing off the towel boot.
Exploring Towel Sizes
In my video (below), I demonstrate using three different towels. Here are the details:
- Black and White Towel: Dimensions: Length: 24″ (61 cm) x Width: 16″ (41 cm)
- Green Striped Towel: Dimensions: Length: 29.5″ (75 cm) x Width: 17.5″ (44.5 cm)
- Japanese Flowers Towel:Dimensions: Length: 26.25″ (67.5 cm) x Width: 12″ (30.5 cm) These towels can often be found at your local Japanese import store, adding a touch of cultural elegance to your reflexology practice.
